Problem & Purpose Statement

PROBLEM:

It is difficult for Bay Area Rapid Transit passengers to quickly navigate through the system.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this study was to determine a way to effectively communicate information to passengers.

Me and My Visions

This is a old poster i did a while back, it represents mankind's eternal struggle between good and bad, right and wrong, light and darkness. Socially we face this struggle all the time and it can also be applied to the way we view design. What is good design? what is bad design? and who gets to decide the either?

Intro

Im Marcus Handy, I am a industrial design major with emphasis on visual communication.

I am inspired and influenced by everything I see. Every badly designed poster inside the BART, every family owned business that ridiculously uses fonts such as “giddy up” as their logo, every lame template made website I visit. These things inspire me cause A: I want to fix them, and B: if the horrible designers who did that stuff can get jobs, then so can I.

As for my vision in life right now, im just trying to graduate and get out of the Antioch and find a job where I am challenged creatively.
